KVK as Knowledge Centre (Residential Training on Agriculture and Allied Trades)

Divyayan KVK offers residential specialized training in agriculture and allied trades such as Agronomy, Horticulture, Gardener Training, Integrated Organic Cultivation, Poultry, Duckery, Fishery, Mushroom Production, Beekeeping, Dairy, Soil Testing, and Organic Fertilizer Production. These training programmes are conducted throughout the year.

The KVK is equipped with well‑furnished smart classrooms featuring interactive panels to enhance conceptual understanding. In addition, demonstration units are available for almost all trades, providing trainees with valuable hands‑on practice.

 

KVK as Resource Centre

KVK Divyayan not only act as Knowledge Centre but also act as resource centre. After completing the training, the trainees are made available basic input to start their own enterprise. Inputs available with the KVK are

  • Chicks (For Poultry)
  • Ducks (For Duckery)
  • Bee-Boxes and accessories (For Bee-Keeping)
  • Mushroom Seeds (For Mushroom Production)
  • Fish Fingerling (For Fisheries)
  • Seeds (For Agronomy and Horticulture)
  • Saplings and Planting Material (Horticulture)
  • Vermi Compost and Earthworms

Integrated Training and Demonstration Units

All the training and demonstration units like laboratories, Poultry and Duckery Unit, Dairy, Mushroom Production Unit, Bio-fertiliser Production unit, Bee-Keeping, Fishery Unit, Workshop unit for Welding, Carpentry, Pump repairing etc have been established in a single 17 acre campus.

 

Organic Farm

 

Divyayan KVK has 3(Three) farms for training, demonstration and seed production purpose. All the three farms have been converted into organic farm to boost the confidence of farmers in organic cultivation. Only organic fertilizer and pesticides are used to management of crop.

 

Soil Testing

 

A state of the art Soil Testing Laboratory has been established in the KVK to provide soil testing and soil health card service to the farmers. It houses all the equipments required for analysis of Micro and Macro nutrients. It has the capacity to analyze 2500 samples per year.
